A Message From Dan Harrington (3/29/14)

posted Mar 29, 2014, 2:44 PM by Carl Weigel

To Troop 62 parents:

Tuesday April 8 there will be an important parent meeting at 7pm at CPC room 109.

At this meeting we will review the work of the Scoutmaster Transition group.  There is a plan, a good one, and parents have an important role to play.  We will share the proposed troop management structure, introduce the people who have volunteered for various roles and request formal ratification from the parent group.  This will set the stage for the continued success of the troop for the next several years.  I think you will be impressed.

We will also review planned scout activities through the spring and summer.

Opportunities for parents to volunteer will be available.

Any questions are welcome!

Assuming the transition plan is approved without too much revision, this meeting should last no longer than an hour.

Parents whose schedule allow can show up at 6:45 to help set up the room. And if a couple folk hang around after the meeting to help clean up it would be appreciated.

Remember Friends of Scouting!

Committee Chair

Troop 62 Parents:

On April 15, 2012, the Troop 62 Parent Committee approved the following Camping Trip Registration/payment Policy:
  • Each camping trip will have a firm due date for registration and payment
  • The due date for registration and payment will be posted on the Troop 62 website. (Typically the due date will be 7pm Monday for the following weekend camping trip (four days before the camping trip))
  • Payment is to be made via Wepay (exceptions can be made if a computer is not available)
  • No refunds.
  • Adults who attend and help with the camping trips will not be asked to pay in most circumstances.
We would like to encourage parent participation with troop activities.  The troop needs parent volunteers!!  Please consider attending one or more campouts a year--thank you.
